The full model designation on a Von Duprin 9947 CVR device appears on a label near the mechanism case housing on the hinge side of the device body. Reading this label correctly determines which replacement parts apply before any order is placed.

What the Prefix Tells You

The 98 prefix means smooth mechanism case. The 99 prefix means grooved mechanism case. Both prefixes share the same internal parts and latch kits. The mechanism case itself is listed separately by prefix when ordering because the case housings differ in texture.
