• L283-341 LT springcage: The low-torque version of the spring cage, specified when the installation requires reduced lever operating force. The LT springcage is used on ADA-compliant openings where operating force must stay within the 5-pound maximum requirement, or on any application where lighter lever return is specifically called for in the hardware specification.

The L283-008 and L283-006 auxiliary latchbolt assemblies provide the anti-shim deadlatch function that prevents the latchbolt from being pushed back with a credit card or shim. Deadbolts
