• Spring-loaded push button in lever outside; lever inside; springlatch
• In unlocked state latch is retracted by either lever
• Caretaker side: pushing and holding button enables Vandlgard® feature; detention side lever will rotate without engaging latch
• Releasing manually held button enables inside lever to re-engage with latch and open the door
