The Detex 105378-1 Safety Beam Surface Mount System is a photoelectric through-beam safety sensor designed to create an invisible safety line across an automatic door threshold. The system consists of a dedicated transmitter and receiver that work together to detect pedestrians, wheelchairs, carts, and other obstacles crossing the beam path. Featuring a surface-mount design, the sensor housings install directly onto door jambs or guide rails without requiring recessed wall preparation. When the beam is interrupted while the door is operating, the system signals the automatic door controller to maintain the open position or reverse door movement to help prevent contact.
