The Detex NXG-IR-A Touchless Activation Switch is a hardwired infrared activation device manufactured by Detex for hands-free door activation in ADA-compliant applications. Using NexGen rapid infrared pulse technology, it detects motion without physical contact, making it suitable for healthcare facilities, operating rooms, clean rooms, and other environments where hygiene is important. The switch features an adjustable detection range and reaction time, a Form C relay output, and a low-profile design with an illuminated bezel that activates upon use. The NXG-IR-A is designed for use with automatic door systems requiring touchless activation and is not recommended for outdoor use.
