The Detex ECL-230D Exit Control Lock by Detex is a code-compliant, battery-alarmed deadbolt designed to secure secondary exit doors while maintaining safe emergency egress. It features a single-point 1-inch throw deadbolt, a durable steel plate with a photo-luminescent exit sign, and a 100 dB alarm that activates when unauthorized use occurs. The lock accepts standard and interchangeable core rim cylinders ranging from 5-pin through 7-pin configurations, and locking or unlocking the deadbolt automatically arms or disarms the alarm. Its non-handed design simplifies installation while the attack-resistant construction withstands over 2,200 pounds of outside pull force.
