The Detex CS2940F is a flush-mounted remote alarm manufactured by Detex for commercial security applications requiring audible remote notification of an alarm event. Designed for installation in a double switch/outlet box, it activates a 100dB alarm when triggered by a door switch, remote relay output, or another alarm. The unit operates from an included plug-in transformer while maintaining a 9VDC battery backup for continued operation during power interruptions. A red LED provides visual indication during alarm conditions, and the alarm automatically resets when the primary alarm is silenced.
