The Schlage A501-566 Door Reinforcement is a genuine OEM reinforcement component designed for installation in 1-3/4" thick non-reinforced hollow metal doors. It strengthens the lock mounting area to help prevent door collapse when locksets are tightly mounted and helps minimize lateral movement of the latch bolt, particularly on long backset installations.
