The LCN 9530IQ-18 is the OEM mounting plate for the LCN 9530IQ Senior Swing electromechanical door operator, the single-door pull-side configuration. The mounting plate is the extruded aluminum header that mounts above the door opening and serves as the structural housing for the entire operator assemblythe motor-gearbox, control box, and arm attachment point all integrate into or onto the mounting plate. Without a correctly sized and properly installed mounting plate, the 9530IQ operator cannot be installed or function. This is a dimension-specific part: the plate must cover the full door opening width, and sizing is determined by the door opening measurement plus 3-3/4" for correct installation. LCN 9530IQ Senior Swing: What Operator This Mounting Plate Supports

The 9530IQ is LCN's heavy-duty electromechanical Senior Swing operator for single-door pull-side applications. Pull-side mounting means the operator installs on the side of the door that swings toward the userthe side you pull toward you to open. The 9530IQ uses a standard arm configuration that pulls the door open from this position. This is the opposite orientation from the 9540IQ, which is the push-side configuration for the same door type.

The 9530IQ-18 mounting plate is specific to the 9530IQ and is not interchangeable with the mounting plate for the 9540IQ, 9550IQ, or 9560IQ Series operators. The arm interface geometry, control box position, and header extrusion profile are matched to the pull-side configuration.

LCN Door Operator Parts: What the Mounting Plate Does

The mounting plate performs three functions simultaneously. First, it is the primary structural anchor for the operator. LCN Closer Mounting Plate: Sizing the 9530IQ-18 Correctly

The sizing instruction on this product page"Length Required; Add 3-3/4""means the mounting plate ordered must equal the door opening width plus 3-3/4". For a 36-inch door opening, the plate length ordered is 39-3/4". This additional length provides the latch-side overhang needed for proper arm sweep clearance and positions the control box correctly relative to the door frame. Ordering a plate matched to the door opening dimension only, without the 3-3/4" addition, results in an undersized plate that cannot be correctly installed.

Door opening width coverage for the 9530IQ-18 runs from 33" (minimum) to 48" (maximum).
