This is important for facilities upgrading from E996 to M996 trim. If the installation is already using Allegion Connect with the 106183 harness for an E996, the harness does not need to be replaced when converting to M996. The CON-6W is a 6-inch harness with a Molex connector on one end and stripped bare leads on the other, used for direct power supply connections. The 106183 covers the E996/M996 trim segment. Confirm which component in the Allegion Connect path is being serviced before ordering - each CON harness has a specific connector format matched to one device type in the wiring chain.
