The 03-277-TLR is the final standard non-tactile lever in the 03-277 Sargent FSIC family, joining the 03-277-ATH (Athens), 03-277-RHO (Rhodes), and 03-277-SPA (Sparta). The 03-277-TLR, 03-277-RHO, and 03-277-SPA are each documented in four Service Manuals (ALX, ND, AD, CO). The 03-277-ATH is documented in two Service Manuals. The Tubular lever uses a uniform round cylindrical rod handle that is visually distinct from all other profiles in the Schlage ND and ALX Series catalog. When a facility uses Tubular levers as its established standard and the installed core is a Sargent LFIC, the 03-277-TLR is the correct replacement. A compatible Sargent 6-pin LFIC (J-SAR) core must be sourced separately. The core is not included.
Standard vs Tactile: 03-277-TLR vs 03-277-8TR
The 03-277-TLR is the standard non-tactile Tubular Sargent FSIC lever. The 03-277-8TR is the tactile version with knurled tactile grooves wrapping the round handle for ADA hazardous area identification. Both accept a Sargent FSIC core and supply less cylinder. Confirm the original installation specification before ordering to avoid installing a standard lever at a position that required the tactile designation.
