The button lever is the inside trim lever for ND Series and ALX Series functions where the inside lever incorporates a push button that controls the locked or unlocked state of the outside lever. When the inside push button is pressed, it engages the locking mechanism and prevents the outside lever from retracting the latch bolt. The 03-233-8AT is the correct inside lever for functions that use this push button mechanism, such as privacy, entrance/office, and keyed privacy functions.
